PwC’s new Japanese firm’s name is announced June 8, 2006

The Mainichi Shimbun reports that PwC's new Japanese firm, set up due to ChuoAoyama's pending sanction for its role in the Kanebo accounting scandal, is to be called Arata (あらた監査法人 (arata kansahoujin) in Japanese, あらた=新た=(re)new).

Mainichi reports that 60-80 accountants will transfer to the new firm, to handle PwC's multinational customers' affairs.
